I just love the fall! The vibrant colors of the leaves, pumpkins, and mums always bring a sense of peace and hospitality for me! Here are a few pics of the decorations my daughter, Karyssa, and I created in front of our home. Fall is also a time to reflect on a few spiritual lessons.
1 – Balancing darkness with light
On the autumn equinox, day and night are of equal length. This signals the need to balance light and darkness within us. Where can you achieve more balance in your life?
2 – Letting Go
Watching the leaves change color and then fluttering to the ground in the fall, reminds us of nature’s cycles mirrored in our lives. Fall is a time for letting go and releasing things that have been a burden and held us back. What are limited beliefs are you ready to let go of so that you can move forward to the blessings that await you!
3 – Acknowledgement of Impermanence
Fall reminds us of the impermanence of everything. After experiencing the budding of life in spring and the flourishing of summer, the falling leaves and barren branches of autumn remind us of the fleeting nature of all things. What or whom can you celebrate in your life, realizing that nothing remains with us forever.
